Today I made a little journey from home and did a different regional car gathering. Not that far down the road from where the Football Hall of Fame sits. The coffee was good and the crowd even friendlier than the Akron and Cleveland events I’ve been to, if that’s even possible. I was blown away by people walking up and asking “which car is yours?” and since I’m the O.G. if I knew anything about the TVR that I was standing by. Considering I had Triumphs in the past I had shopped and test driven them the younger guys came to the right person. I enjoy when I can spread my knowledge and in return I ask some questions about their cars. A couple of guys even knew my A3 was an R32 Golf in disguise, surprising. A bunch of potent turbo modded cars at this one. Many sleepers. It was a great mix of old and new with not much real exotic content. Big turn out. Some old, some new , some standouts and DDs but its great to see everyone having fun. Lots of kids with the crew today, the next generation of car culture in training.
Lots of talk of other area shows coming away from this one. It was first time for this C&C at this location. The crew who organized it did the Summit Racing one in Tallmadge this year and are organizing a car show in September at the Mid-Ohio race course that will be spectator judged with 7 classes. There are a couple of others in the works and they help with track weekend at 3 regional road courses. I’m wanting to attend one next year but choosing between Mid-Ohio, Michigan and Pittsburgh is going to be tough. So many great events this year. I have a full calendar on my iPhone and pick the easiest to attend when off work. Amazed some days that I’ve had up to 3 choices all within a hour drive.

I live northeast of Akron, pretty sure I’ve seen that red TVR driving around a few times (or there’s another one up here, but I doubt it).

I haven’t seen that one before and I’m from the same area. Have you seen either the perfect aqua Lancia Beta or yellow Fiat X 1/9 around Stow/Munroe Falls or Cuyahoga Falls? Both look amazing. I see the Fiat on 91 about once or twice a month.

I haven’t seen them, but I hope I do! Stow/Cuyahoga are a bit southwest from here.
